Sounds Like San Diego: March 19

Local Brews, Local Grooves head up an incredible night of live music in San Diego

A friend and I were recently explaining San Diego beer culture to someone from out of town and it made me really think hard about the place we call home, and I don't think it is any coincidence that Money Magazine named San Diego the top travel destnation in the country. There's a ton of music today and tonight (which probably wasn't accounted for in the rankings) but let's keep it local with the latest installation of Local Brews, Local Grooves, featuring 16 different local artists and 16 local breweries, the afternoon-to-evening event at the House of Blues is a solid representation of what San Diego is all about. You can follow it up at night with an all-local lineup at the Casbah with Get Back Loretta and friends. If that doesn't suit your fancy, catch A Great Big World at the Irenic; rising star of the Parisian electronic scene,  FKJ, is at the Observatory; and Pour Habit is at Soda Bar. For a worthy cause, head to Che Cafe to "Mosh For Life" and raise money and awareness about suicide.
