Sounds Like San Diego: March 1

It wasn't that long ago that Andra Day made her debut at the Casbah. The singer -- born and raised right here in San Diego -- was, in a way, announcing herself to the world that night. And after a knockout performance with Ellie Goulding (who also sold out the Casbah just a few years back), Andra Day is home, this time with a show at the Observatory North Park. Expect it to be packed with locals who know Andra well as well as fans just starting to fall in love with her magical voice. Around town, G Burns Jug Band leads the charge with the Merrow's Tuesday lineup, while Matisyahu plays a second night at the Belly Up, and my colleagues at DoSD are hosting a free show at Soda Bar with LA's Banta.
