Sounds Like San Diego: June 16

Shabazz Palaces, No Age play A Ship in the Woods at Felicita County Park in Escondido

There are dozens of things to do on any given Saturday in San Diego County,
but it isn't often we get to be witness to an inaugural music and arts festival. This weekend, A Ship in the Woods takes place at Felicita County Park in Escondido and between the dozens of art installations and bands, we think it is worth the effort. Of course, with any new event, there can be kinks, like we'd love if there was a camping option added in the future, but future success depends on current support, so we can't have nice things if we don't support the ones we've got. Today, you can catch Shabazz Palaces, No Age and a healthy helping of local and touring artists and make it a success. By nightfall, local musician and activist Veronica May headlines the Casbah, Alvino & the Dwells are at Bar Pink and John Butler Trio play House of Blues.
