I happened to be at a birthday party over the weekend, hosted by the family of Miss New Buddha's Jordan Krimston, and the amazing backyard affair was topped off by a jam session with their houseguests, the Obsessives. These guys are impressive in their skill and youth, but even more so in their clear love of music. Tonight, they join friends Belladon and Miss New Buddha at Blonde while they're in town recording at Singing Serpent, and you should definitely make an effort to catch them while they're here. Meanwhile, "infusing different aspects of electronic-driven melodies and organic instruments," Ezla plays Casbah and ABC Love headline Soda Bar. It's gonna be a fun Monday if you choose to make it so.
