As citizens of San Diego, we were promised an epic yearlong celebration at Balboa Park in honor of the 100-year anniversary of Panama-California Exposition. Of course, politics got in the way of all that, and we're left with just a few scattered events throughout the year. Fortunately as residents, we know that Balboa Park doesn't need big light shows and parties to be a beautiful spot. Every Monday night this summer, there's a Centennial International Summer Organ Festival, and it's totally free. If you haven't been, pack a basket with refreshments and enjoy the summer sky and some incredible performances. By night, you can head to Soda Bar for Church Night, or Tower Bar has Six to Midnight, while Social Club play the the Office, and you can catch Dinosaur Parade at the Merrow.
