Sounds Like San Diego: July 28

Melt Banana bring Japanese noise rock to Casbah on Tuesday

There are some fun shows Tuesday, but none more fun than the Japanese noise rock of Melt Banana. Along with Torche, this show is for music fans who like to keep it weird and feel like the world of pop music and radio have nothing to offer. The band shreds and has been coming to the Casbah for years. It will certainly be a fun night out if you can make it. If noise rock isn't your jam, consider another great show with the Family Crest at Soda Bar. The seven-piece band has been touted as an act on the rise by NPR, Paste and other industry tastemakers. Meanwhile around town, members of the Donkeys play at Bar Pink for Tiki Tuesday, and Sure Fire Soul Ensemble return to the Hideout, while the Merrow has Country Rockn' Rebels.
