There are plenty of shows around town Wednesday night, and you can take your pick of rock or jazz or oldies -- but in my opinion, no show compares to Federico Aubele. The charismatic singer/songwriter defies the typical stylings by mixing in dub and electronic music with his guitar playing, making his own genre long before others had stepped outside those boundaries. The Argentinian has come through San Diego many times before, typically with shows at the Casbah or Anthology, but also with his group Amigos Invisibles at the old Cane's or House of Blues. Even still, as many times as I've seen him, I never know what to expect from his shows, and each one is unique and worth your Wednesday night attention.
