Sounds Like San Diego: July 11

The Roots play the Observatory North Park Tuesday -- and it just might be the show of the week

The Roots have made themselves a part of popular culture in a significant way throughout their 30-year hip-hop career, by being incredibly unique in the genre by playing live instruments, and eventually becoming the house band for "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." Tonight, their show at Observatory will probably be the best show you can catch this week so you don't want to miss out. Still, maybe they're not for everyone, so head to Casbah to catch Oceanside indie-rockers Noble War, acoustic rock-based brothers Ottopilot play the Belly Up, and Ohio emo band Sports play Soda Bar.
