There are some great musical options around town this Thursday night, when the elite talent Aaron Embry takes the stage of the Casbah (read our interview with Embry here). Most recently, he's the pianist of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, but he has also played with Elliott Smith, is credited with writing material for Jane's Addiction and producing Avi Buffalo. Meanwhile, Soda Bar hosts a dancehall reggae legend, Sister Nancy. This isn't your beach-bro faux reggae, this is the real deal. For a chill night, consider heading over to Sycamore Den for John Meeks and Roll Film. Meanwhile, the Heavy Guilt perform at Boar Cross'n, Jefferson Starship are at Belly Up, and Quiet Riot are at House of Blues likes it's 1984 all over again.
