A few years ago, we had the pleasure of catching Vanessa Carlton at Sunset Sessions. Aside from her relationship with Stevie Nicks, we were wowed by her incredible musical stylings. As a passionate singer/songwriter, she's proven herself to be a lasting entity even past her brush with top 40 success. Tonight, she's at the Casbah, and we'll admit that is an unlikely venue for her, but hopefully she gets the quiet respect she deserves as she sings her heart out. Around town, Destructo is at Quartyard, Europe is at Music Box, and Kelley James performs at the Belly Up.
