I don't know about you, but it feels extra hard getting into this new year and trying to find things to look forward to with so much bad news filling the airwaves, but that's where live shows can really help you tune out the noise and tune into the joy of music. I plan to do just that when Dirty Sweet pack the house at the Casbah and the good news for you is there are still a handful of tickets if you haven't yet bought in advance. Of course, there is kinda something for everyone as West Coast swing act Big Bad Voodoo Daddy play at Viejas Casino, local Karl Denson and his Tiny Universe have a homecoming at Belly Up, and our buddies Sights and Sages play Soda Bar. It's a little early to plan for Mardi Gras, but the Euphoria Brass Band might get you in the mood at Dizzy's and Ramblin' Jack Elliott plays at Sweetwater High for AMSD concerts.
