We are squarely into the weekend and for those of us who love to go out for live music, this one is a doozy. At Casbah, Ha Ha Tonka return on the heels of their late 2017 release, "Heart-Shaped Mountain," and this has to be at least their fifth or sixth time playing the club, so loyal and new fans alike can enjoy their boot stomping rock & roll. Meanwhile, Awesome Fest carries on at Bar Pink and the Office in the afternoon, then moves back to Space and Soda Bar for the nighttime shows. I think they're all sold out, but you might check their social media to be sure. Lastly, the Frights have made quite a splash on the scene and recently signed to Epitaph. Tonight they host You Are Going to Hate This Fest at Soma, which I think is their sweet way of telling us old people in the scene to step aside because their generation is coming in hot and mowing down any of us who step in their way. Good for them.
