You would think that things start slowing down in December, and even if that is the case, tonight's lineup of music is no indication. By day, you can catch Balboa Park's festivities or take a chance on the Rise and Shine Beer Festival in Chula Vista, which seeks to raise money for those in need in Puerto Rico. By nightfall, the Casbah has one of my favorite bands from the Northwest, Blitzen Trapper, who not only consistently release great music, but are some of the nicest guys you can chat with on the Casbah smoking patio. Rob Crow and Shades McCool are just part of the night's entertainment at A Ship in the Woods, Sports return to Soda Bar and Belly Up hosts a second night of tributes with No Duh, Fooz Fighters and Pearl Jammed.
