Sounds Like San Diego: December 15

The Verigolds head up Friday's live-music action with a Casbah show

I gotta say: I'm impressed, San Diego. Our city is a notoriously late buying market, much to the chagrin of booking agents everywhere, but tonight you managed to sell out both the Julien Baker show -- which could very well be the last show at the Irenic -- and Cake at the Observatory. If you didn't get your tickets, there's still hope for you because of course, Friday night is bursting with great shows. At the Casbah, our friends the Verigolds are stepping in when another show was canceled, and South Carolina's gauzy rock band Hundredth plays Soda Bar. If you long for the electro-punk of the early oughts, Shark Attack is back with a show at Blonde, and Space has a solid lineup with Dani Bell and Creepseed.
