We hear a lot about 'adulting' across social media, and as music consumers grow up and have to face new responsibilities and stages of life, so too do our beloved musicians. San Diego felt a great loss when the Album Leaf's Jimmy Lavalle moved north, and as band members entered the world of parenting, but fortunately for all of us, they haven't quit music and tonight will be a very special reunion as the band once again takes the stage at the Casbah. It's a haze of gauzy music I can totally get behind this Thursday night. Meanwhile, it's gonna be more rollicking and whiskey-fueled fun at Bar Pink as Behind the Wagon headline the stage there. For lovers of jazz, Dave Koz brings his annual Christmas tour to Balboa Theatre and Canadian DJ/producer Rezz brings EDM to the Observatory. Even Queen Bee's is in on the Thursday night action with an album release by San Diego Music Award-winner Whitney Shay, and Oklahoma alt-rockers Skating Polly play Soda Bar. Good times abound tonight so duck out of your holiday party early and catch some live music.
