The weekend nears, but if you're already in the mood to let loose, head to one (or two) of the numerous hot shows happening tonight around San Diego. Of course, we miss Delta Spirit, but our spirit animal and frontman of the group, Matthew Logan Vasquez, still makes a point to visit us -- even since relocating to the music mecca of Austin, Texas. Catch him tonight at Soda Bar. Meanwhile, at the Belly Up, rock legend, Kiss lead guitarist and from what I hear, San Diego resident, Ace Frehley performs. If you think that's intimate, punk heroes the Ataris play the ever-so-tiny Space Bar. Around town, Forest Grove is at the Casbah, hip-hop great KRS-One of BDP is at the Observatory North Park, and Blood and Gold play Bar Pink.
