I grew up near Main Street in Chula Vista, long before the amphitheater was ever around, and there wasn't a whole lot of stuff to do in my neck of the woods. There was, however, a brief period of time when More FM would team up with Over the Border, a music club a few blocks from my parent's house, and I had many amazing nights there. Imagine a room about the size of Bar Pink getting the biggest rock en español bands. Whenever Inspector came to town, my friends and I would always try to make sure we got to go. I can't say I was super familiar with the music, but you can't really go wrong with Mexican ska paired with lots of beer and tequila. Tonight, the band plays at the Observatory North Park along with local heroes Marujah, and I just might have to find a ticket, just for old times' sake. Around town, our friends Mrs. Henry are doing a little tour and making a home stop at the Casbah, the Expendables bring English ska to the Belly Up, and for more Mexican rock, catch Los Blenders at Soda Bar.
