Sounds Like San Diego: April 23

There are plenty of great live-music options in store for your sunny Saturday

Wel, well, well, San Diego. I see you are all paid up on your Sunshine Tax, so today is a perfect day to reap the rewards and remind yourself why you live here. The sun will certainly be shining over El Cajon Boulevard as my personal favorite of all the beer festivals returns in front of the Lafayette Hotel. With three awesome local bands to entertain and dozens of craft beers to taste, this is going to be a most epic afternoon. You can follow up by catching a safe ride to Balboa Park for a huge ceremony as the Spreckels Organ Pavilion claims the title of Largest Outdoor Pipe Organ. From there, take your pick from shows like Dilated Peoples at the Observatory, the Roots Factory 6th Anniversary at the Casbah, or show some love and support to friends and family of Toni Isbelle, the passenger of the car who was tragically killed recently in a collision with a plane making an emergency landing, by heading to Brick By Brick.
