It's an action-packed day of Record Store Day happenings, street fairs and outdoor celebrations. It was just a few years ago when record stores were on the extinction list, but San Diego is doing its very best to bring the species back with amazing stores now peppered throughout the county. Taken by Canadians and the Schizophonics will be live at Vinyl Junkies Record Shack; Spin has performances by Trouble in the Wind and Ford Madox Ford; and Ariel Levine, Thunderegg and others get down at M-Theory. By nightfall, check out a killer lineup of music all over the county, including the Moondoggies at Soda Bar, the amazing Orgone getting down at Winston's and the Dream Syndicate rocking out at Casbah. It's an amazing day of fun and festivities, so take advantage while we have a good one.
