A sailor was arrested aboard USS Nimitz in connection with a shooting at Belmont Park, San Diego police department spokesperson Mónica Muñoz said.
A rented party bus stopped outside Canes bar in Mission Beach December 6, at about 10:30 p.m.
"Several occupants got off the bus and became involved in an argument with two unknown males. One of the males took a handgun from his waistband and fired several shots toward the crowd," Muñoz said.
A bystander was hit by the gunfire in the left thigh.
The suspects fled the scene in a black truck. Witnesses were able to get a partial license plate number.
Latorris Boone, 24 was arrested Wednesday for the shooting when USS Nimitz arrived at North Island.
Boone was taken to the San Diego Central Jail and booked on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm from a moving vehicle.
