There are different levels of frustration when a referee or linesman accidently gets involved in a play. The puck hitting him on a shorthanded clearing attempt? Sucks. Having him inadvertently set a pick on a player, affecting an odd-man rush? Really sucks.
When he accidently falls backwards onto a youth hockey player's leg after a faceoff? Yikes.
As with many of these youth hockey videos, one of the highlights of this clip was the fan reaction. Nothing like seeing a tyke writhing in pain as some hockey mom in the bleachers cackles because referee go boom. Haven't heard her this happy since that time she saw a nine-year-old take a fastball to the how-do-you-do in a Little League game.
