The group has been on a tear the last couple of years -- as evidenced by the rabid San Diego fans in attendance.

The last time the quartet was in town was last October, when they opened for 5 Seconds of Summer at SDSU's Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre. Suffice to say, it was great to see a longer headlining set from them!

The Aces are on the road in support of their stellar debut album, 2018's "When My Heart Felt Volcanic."

That album followed their four-song 2016 EP, "I Don't Like Being Honest," which included the huge singles "Physical" and "Stuck."

To-date, the official music video for "Stuck" has racked up more than 628,000 views on YouTube.

Fun fact: They originally started out as the Blue Aces, but shortened their name in 2016 as their popularity skyrocketed. (Petty pictured)

Paste Magazine named them one of the "10 Best Utah Bands You Should Know" in 2014, writing: "This soulful quartet recalls the roaring punch the Alabama Shakes brought to the spotlight years ago." (Henderson pictured)

The Aces originally formed in 2008 while band members -- all longtime friends -- were in high school.

They're currently signed to Red Bull Records, and their latest video for the single "Last One," already has nearly 700,000 views on YouTube. (Cristal and Alisa Ramirez pictured, left to right)

While we've been fans of the band for a couple years now, it's extremely easy to root for 'em: "We're not doing this for our personal benefit," Petty told Nylon during a 2018 interview. "We're doing this for us as a group and because we feel like we have important things to say as young women in this country who are a band and play our own instruments and make our own music."

"We have so many fans come up to us and tell us how they're inspired by just seeing us on stage," she continued. "If we, as a group of girls supporting and uplifting one another, can give others the confidence to do the same, then we've won." Indeed! Thank you for the wonderful show, Aces -- please come back to San Diego soon!
