Largely a solo project for Gallagher (pictured left), the High Flying Birds serve as the famed former Oasis guitarist/songwriter's touring band. They're currently on tour with the Smashing Pumpkins and AFI (find their respective photo galleries from the show on as well).

After Oasis infamously (and suddenly) disbanded in 2009, Noel began his solo career in earnest by announcing a self-titled album in 2011.

Aside from Noel, the expansive band consists of former Oasis guitarist Gem Archer, former Oasis session pianist Mike Rowe, former Oasis drummer Chris Sharrock, Zutons bassist Russell Pritchard, keyboardist/vocalist Jessica Greenfield, vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Charlotte Marionneau and backing vocalist YSEÉ.

Gallagher released the "Songs from the Great White North" EP in 2012, and followed that with his sophomore solo full-length record "Chasing Yesterday" in 2015, which featured the singles "In the Heat of the Moment," "Ballad of the Mighty I" and "Riverman."

His third solo album, "Who Built the Moon?," was released in 2017. He's since followed it with two EPs this year: "Wait and Return" (a collection of remixes) and "Black Star Dancing" -- with one more, "This Is the Place," set to be released later this month.

Gallagher has described his music as being a mix of styles including psychedelic rock, krautrock, soul and funk.

Followed by "Black Star Dancing," "This Is the Place," "Wonderwall" (Oasis cover), "Little by Little" (Oasis cover), "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" (Oasis cover)...

And wrapped up with "Don't Look Back in Anger" (Oasis cover) and "All You Need Is Love" (Beatles cover).

It's always a rare treat to have Gallagher through San Diego -- and while we're *always* hoping for an Oasis reunion (fingers crossed), the High Flying Birds put on an unforgettable show and we can only hope they return to town soon!
