At age 80, Buddy Guy is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and a major influence on rock titans like Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Guy has won six Grammy Awards, a 2015 Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award, 34 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has received), a Kennedy Center Honor, and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Not too shabby, eh?

Cox met Hendrix when they were serving in the Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, in 1961. Ducking into Service Club #1 to get out of a sudden rainstorm, he heard guitar playing inside. Impressed with what he heard, he introduced himself, told Jimi he played bass, and they were jamming soon after. They became, and remained, fast friends. Ana Popovic -- the award-winning, hard-touring, guitar slinger -- blends smoking electric funk and slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals and a tight blues groove with soulful, feminine vocals. Add to the mix her incredible stage presence, all of which makes her an irresistible force in the world of contemporary blues music. (Caption courtesy of ExperienceHendrixTour.com)

Dweezil Zappa was born on Sept. 5, 1969, in Los Angeles -- the son of Frank and Gail Zappa. It was inevitable that from the moment of his birth his life would be filled wall-to-wall with music (his father having listed his religion as "musician" on Dweezil's birth certificate). He received his first guitar from his dad at age 6. Everything else, as they say, is history. (Caption courtesy of ExperienceHendrixTour.com)

Campbell's bandmate Calvin Cooke joined him onstage as well. The Slide Brothers create music that extends far beyond sacred steel to encompass blues, rock and soul -- a sound that is uniquely their own. (Caption courtesy of ExperienceHendrixTour.com)

Zakk Wylde has been no stranger to success over the years. At only 19 years old, he was tapped to join Ozzy Osbourne's band as lead guitarist and co-writer. He performed with Osbourne for nearly 20 years. Wylde formed Black Label Society in 1998 as a vehicle for his own artistic vision: uncompromising and unfiltered rock & roll.
