This weekend was the inaugural Just Like Heaven Fest at the Queen Mary, so tonight, San Diego reaps the benefits of that event with shows from Peter, Bjorn, and John and the Faint at the Irenic and the Observatory, respectively. Violent Femmes and X would've fit perfectly on that bill as well, and tonight they play by the bay at Humphreys. Casbah is celebrating actual Cinco de Mayo with Cumbia Machin and friends, and if I remember correctly, the last time Sekta Core were supposed to play Soda Bar, the show was canceled due to some Visa issues, so hopefully, that's all sorted out, and they'll get to play tonight's show to make up for it. That's a pretty solid Sunday lineup, and you can still wrap it all up early enough to get a full night's sleep so you feel refreshed for Monday morning.
