No Ordinary Whale Watching Experience

Think back to the last time you went whale watching. Chances are you were wearing a hoodie or poncho and drinking a hot beverage on the deck of a large boat.

Now, imagine going whale watching aboard the America, the 139 ft vessel that the "America's Cup" international yacht race is named after.

Typically available for private / corporate charter only, the yacht will open to the general public and take weekend trips in search of whales from January to March โ€“ the peak whale watching season off San Diegoโ€™s Coast.

Beginning December 27, 2008, the America will board passengers at the Maritime Museum.

For $75/adult and $37.50/children, the company provides basic beverages and snacks but recommends โ€œguests bring a picnic lunch, a blanket, their own favorite wine or beer and relax on deck as we sail to the whales and then have an amazing sail back in from the ocean.โ€

With your ticket, youโ€™ll get a 4 hour sail as well as access to the Maritime Musem.
