An East County man died Monday after injuring himself at his home.
Herbert Webster, 64, was found dead at about 1:45 p.m. outside his home in the 1500 block of Sundale Road in unincorporated East County, according to the county medical examiner's office. Officials said he cut himself while using an electric saw to trim tree branches.
Webster's wife found him in a pool of blood and was not able to revive him, nor were paramedics who attempted CPR. The ME's office said they were going to perform an autopsy.
