Sounds Like San Diego: August 5

Lord Huron's sold-out show at Humphreys leads Monday's live-music action

Everytime we get on the road in our cars, we put ourselves at risk, but touring bands face even more risk. Driving long distances, often late in the night, after leaving sweaty bars and clubs, no doubt we've all heard of tragic tour accidents and incidents, but when it hits close to home, we definitely take inventory on those we care about and love. Last week, Gary Wilson & the Blind Dates were involved in a major auto accident, and while everyone will recover from their injuries, their tour van is totaled and I imagine everyone is pretty shaken up by it. Their tour was subsequently canceled so they will not be at Bar Pink tonight and we hope all those guys and their gear recover soon. Around town, Lord Huron and Shakey Graves play a sold-out show at Humphreys and if you're holding a ticket, do not miss amazing opener Julia Jacklin; there's another free Organ Pavilion concert at Balboa Park; and Sweet Tooth headline the Casbah.
