Look Out Miley, There's Another Talent in Town!

Move over Miley, there’s only room for one cute talented teenybopper in San Diego.

The North County teen has not only graced the airwaves of Nickelodeon and hit up Hollywood Boulevard, but she is also taking over the stage, our media partner the North County Times reported.

Michaela Carrozzo of Escondido is about to add to her performance arts résumé with her directorial and playwright debut “Miki’s Bus”. The 14-year-old will see her play open on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Sunshine Brooks Theater in Oceanside.

Her acting teacher and owner of The Valetta Workshop in Oceanside and Solana Beach, Al Valetta told the paper that Michaela is one-in-a-million.

“I come across talented kids,” Valetta told the paper, “But I’ve never come across a child who’s been able to direct before, or even wanted to.”

Michaela, who had a guest spot on a Nickelodeon episode of “iCarly” and a supporting role of the movie “Sheriff of Contention” said that acting helped her come out of her quiet shell. Now, she is encouraging other youths to believe in themselves.

“Follow your heart,” she told the paper. “Follow your dreams. You can do it.”
