A murder investigation is under way after a South Bay restaurant owner was found dead in Tijuana.
Li Huang Liang was last seen Sunday night at his Chinese restaurant on Telegraph Canyon Road in Chula Vista. He may have been kidnapped in the U.S. and taken to Mexico, according to Mexican authorities.
Investigators said Liang's badly beaten body was found inside a car at a Tijuana industrial park on Monday.
Chula Vista police said there is no evidence to suggest a crime was committed at the restaurant.
