It's just about transition time at Mammoth Mountain, the time of year when "down hilling" turns from skis and boards to bikes.
The resort has made it official - Sunday, June 14 will be the final day for skiing and snowboarding.
The lifts will then shutdown for a week and then reopen on June 20 for downhill mountain-biking and two days before that the roar of the Country's longest continuously running motocross breaks the mountain's silence.
Running from June 18-28, the race, which dates back to 1968, draws some of the world's best riders and thousands of spectators to this huge event.
