Electronica fans didn’t mind that it was a Monday night, what with Liverpool quartet Ladytron in town. Fans of their pop-friendly new wave sound came out in droves, crowding into North Park's U-31 Cocktail Lounge when most other places in town were seeing only the hardiest of barflies. In a promotion with radio station 91X, cover was kept at only $5 and the 91-cent u-call-its helped fuel some crazy early week debauchery. For more proof it was an epic Monday night, this was overheard by one party goer: "I have an announcement. Tonight was definitely a success. Right now...there's someone having sex in the girl's bathroom."
