Today is the inaugural Lady Brain Festival and if you're looking for some daytime family fun, this might be the event for you. Taking place at Heritage Ranch in Encinitas, the whole thing is the brainchild of many womxn in the local scene, including Cathryn Beeks of Listen Local Radio. And men aren't excluded, though the booking was deliberate in having female-fronted acts. By nightfall, get into the psych fun of Earthless, who played an epic sold out show last night, though being Sunday, the crowd might give a little more breathing room. Chuck Ragan brings a new Revival tour to the Belly Up, Hate Drugs rock Soma and classical fans should flock to Summer Pops for Dvorak's "New World Symphony."
