Johnson Leads Aztecs to Win

Paris Johnson scored 22 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds to lead San Diego State to an 85-70 win over Montana State on Thursday night.

Jen Layton-Bailes and Quenese Davis added 20 points apiece for the Aztecs (6-3), while Jerica Williams came off the bench to finish with 11 points.

San Diego State scored the first nine points of the game and went into the break with a 48-27 lead.

The Bobcats (4-4) struggled in the first half -- shooting only 39 percent from the floor compared to 54 percent shooting by San Diego State. MSU cut the margin to 68-56 with 8:52 remaining in the game, but could get no closer.

Nubia Garcia had a career-high 20 points and nine rebounds for the Bobcats. Jenny Heringer added 19 points.
