Some San Diego ZIP codes seem to be immune to the mortgage crisis.  A few neighborhoods have even see an increase in housing prices, according to a published report.

Neighborhoods with large price declines were fueled by low-cost foreclosure sales, DataQuick analyst Andrew LePage told the San Diego Union-Tribune.  By contrast, those areas with relatively few foreclosures suffered fewer, if any, price drops.

Solana Beach showed surprising resilience in 2008, posting a nearly 25 percent increase in housing values at a time when most neighborhoods experienced sharp declines, the paper reported.

Also faring well was downtown San Diego, which saw a 7.4 percent rise in the median home price.
