Investigators Probe Discovery of Bodies

Two people believed to have been illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexican border have been found dead in separate areas of San Diego County.

Cal Fire Capt. Steve Foster says the first body was found at 7:45 a.m. Sunday about a mile and a half from state Route 94. The man wore a trash bag and may have died of exposure during the recent storms. Foster said a second body was found at 9:20 a.m. behind a market in Valley Center. No other details were immediately available.

Temperatures dipped as low as the 30s in those areas at night during the past week.
