Howe Gelb has been making music for many years, and according to him, when 60 came knocking on his door a few years back, it was time to put out a record of piano "future standards." Tonight, the established musician performs with David Huckfelt and our own Marie Haddad opening, so I'd get there a little early so you can nab one of the coveted barstools at the Casbah. If you're into mathy indie rock, give El Paso's If We Were Turtles a try at Soda Bar, and if ya feel like stalking Tim Pyles, he's got his Tuesday night lined up with Volorean, Total Recluse and the Ghost Dance at the Merrow. There are actually a surprising amount of choices this Tuesday night, so hopefully you had a weekend of rest and are ready to get back out on the town for some live entertainment options.
