Feel like boutique burger places have been cropping up everywhere lately? Your mind isn't playing tricks on you, seems like San Diego is a hotbed for funky burger joints.
Smashburger will be placing a new location in a prime location in Hillcrest -- just across the street from two other newbies Freebirds and Snooze.
The popular Colorado-based burger chain is opening its ninth location in San Diego in early February.
A grand opening party will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2 at the new storefront on 3975 Fifth Ave. The restaurant will officially open the following day.
