I'm not gonna lie, I cannot wait for the weekend. I know it's only Wednesday, but it's been a busy one already. Which is why there's no better excuse to get out tonight. Of course, Billy Idol sold out relatively instantly so the Belly Up will be buzzing, but there still might be a chance to grab tickets to legend Gordon Lightfoot -- celebrating 80 years -- at Balboa Theatre. If you just want a great local show to check out, Headphone headlines the Casbah with Body Salt and Twin Ritual and is certain to get dirty in the best possible way, while those of you seeking that desert-psych vibe can catch Jesika Von Rabbit at Soda Bar. Low decided to skip San Diego on this tour, but you can catch them tonight in Tijuana, Amigo at Bar Pink, or get roughed up with Action Bronson at House of Blues. You certainly have plenty of choices and speaking for myself, anything to get us inching toward the weekend is just fine by me.
