Sounds Like San Diego: Dec. 14

Billie Eilish heads up 91x's Wrex the Halls, while Fu Manchu, Death Valley Girls and others perform around town

Ummm, hello, 91x? I'm still waiting for my invite to Wrex the Halls tonight at Pechanga Arena (formerly Valley View Casino Center). The lineup is stellar and I've loved Death Cab for Cutie for years and years, which makes it especially awesome that they have over an hour devoted to their set -- but I have to go on record saying that, even with greats like Lord Huron or vets Third Eye Blind performing, 16-year-old Billie Eilish is going to steal the show. Her recent SOMA show was eye-opening and her legion of devoted fans is going to overtake the audience. With all the screaming, plan ahead and bring your own ear plugs. If you're not headed to Sports Arena, you've got great options, too, like the nearly sold-out first of two shows with Fu Manchu at the Casbah; the return of Death Valley Girls to Soda Bar; or San Diego Symphony performing a live score to my favorite Christmas movie of all time, "Love Actually."
