The New Club in Town

FLUXX, San Diego’s newest nightclub opens its doors Friday night with a red carpet celebration featuring DJ Cobra and Zen artists.

DiscoverSD took a behind the scenes look at the club and says the space seeks to impress, boasting a 7,000 square-foot open floor plan.

In addition, there will be a new, cutting-edge lighting and sound system by Sound Investment AV and SJ lightning, the same people who designed the dance floors at Cielo in New York and Tao in Las Vegas

“The name FLUXX is a tribute to the ever-changing nature of the venue,” Managing Partner Jeffrey Fink of building owner 500 4th LLC told DiscoverSD. “With the new venue, we’ll introduce monthly changes that keep FLUXX in an exciting, constant state of change; attracting new crowds of stylish, chic clientele and keeping it the hottest nightlife destination in the city.”

Upon entering FLUXX, club-goers will immediately notice electric color scheme -- black, white, pink, purple and bright blue hues will be mixed with organic textures such as grass patches and paper flower hanging lights, reported.  The club will also feature interactive go-go dancers, a new trend in San Diego nightlife.

If the address of 4th and Island in Downtown sounds familiar, it’s because FLUXX’s space was once inhabited by Aubergine. But don’t let that fool you -- the space went under a multi-million dollar remodel from the same team who brought you the Side Bar.

Admission for the club is $20.00. Doors open at 8 p.m and the partying ends at 2 a.m. For more details, visit or for updates, visit FLUXX’s Twitter page.
