Diana Guevara, Reporter

Diana Guevara is a general assignment reporter for NBC 7 San Diego.

Diana got her first break in journalism as a researcher and freelance event reporter for People Magazine. A lover of creative writing she decided to channel her print experience towards broadcast television. She began her television news journey as an intern at Dateline NBC in Burbank.

Diana started out behind the scenes in newsrooms from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara. In 2006 she joined WKRG-TV in Mobile, Alabama where she reported on everything from hurricanes to Mardi Gras across the Gulf Coast.

In 2009 she got to return home to SoCal. She joined COX Channel 4 San Diego as a reporter for the news magazine show, San Diego Insider Magazine, also contributing weekly reports to NBC 7. Diana also hosted and co-produced Shades of San Diego, a multicultural public affairs show, before officially joining the NBC 7 team in August of 2011.

Diana is originally from Camarillo, California. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCLA where she majored in Women's Studies and Mass Communications. When she is not working she enjoys family time with her husband, son and their miniature dachshund “Bruin”.
