If you can make the journey, Gary Clark Jr. plays Harrah's Resort SoCal. A few years ago, he was the must-see at SXSW and his career has really taken off, with his amazing guitar skills always highlighted while his style pays homage to greats who came before. At the Casbah, you can catch Dead Boys, who were an original first-wave punk band as far back as the '70s and celebrated a 40 year anniversary two years ago.
