Yup, Coachella is already sending out its save-the-dates for 2016. Because, hey, it's never too early to plan on having a great time at some point next year.
Advance sale for the 2016 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival starts Thursday, June 4. You can count on their site being totally clogged right around 11 a.m., which is when the madness officially begins. Especially since this will be the only chance to get in on that payment plan option for the $375 general admission tickets.
The sales folks at the fest recommend signing up for a Front Gate Tickets purchase account (which are different for Weekend 1 and Weekend 2) before Thursday, however. That way, you're ready to rock & roll come 11 a.m. on June 4.
Should you need specific dates to plan 10-plus months out for this annual musical union, the 2016 Coachella goes down April 15-17 and April 22-24, once again bringing two weekends of riotous rah-rah to the Indio desert.
We won't know who's headlining for awhile yet, but 2015 Coachella brought AC/DC, Jack White and Drake to the spotlight. Hidden beneath the massive names were standouts like L.A.'s Allah-Las, who united the desert gnats under the umbrella of their latest release, "Worship the Sun." Former James Brown impersonator Charles Bradley yowled and yelled in the heat, joined by his Extraordinaires for a set that could have inspired love between enemies, before Harlem hip-hop giant Azealia Banks ruled the stage with her roar -- and that was just Day 1.
Start collecting coupons for sunscreen, friends. Each year just keeps getting hotter.
Coachella 2016 advance tickets go on sale on Thursday, June 4, at 11 a.m. For more information, visit the Coachella FAQ section.
