Chargers Make More Coaching Changes

One more coach is out, two were hired on Tuesday

And then there were five.  The Chargers let go of their fifth coach this off-season on Tuesday, announcing the contract of defensive line coach Wayne Nunnely will not be renewed.  Nunnely had been with the team for 12 seasons.

The Bolts did make two hires.  Don Johnson will take over as defensive line coach and Steve Wilks takes over coaching the secondary.  Both were assistants with the Bears when Ron Rivera was Chicago's defensive coordinator.

Wilks was fired by the Bears last week.  Johnson spent the last two years coaching the Raiders' defensive tackles.  There is no truth to the rumor Philip Michael Thomas will join him as a defensive assistant.
