Celebrating the Arts in North Park

What better way to spend a day in May than walking through the streets of North Park sampling food, checking out art and listening to music?

All that is possible at the 14th Annual North Park Festival of the Arts Sunday, May 16.

The event is free and features six stages of entertainment. Enjoy music from local singer songwriter Josh Damigo, listen to spoken word poetry from Archie Underwood or stomp along with the Appalachian Folk Musician Curt Bouterse. “With so many phenomenal entertainers,” the event’s website boasts, “There is no way that anyone can leave this festival without being amazed or energized by these powerful stage line-ups.”

There’s not only free admission but free parking available at 29th Street and North Park Way. Those who park in the bicycle valet will get 20% off their first beer in the Beer Garden.

Speaking of spirits, there is a new Craft Beer Block planned at the festival this year. A wide assortment of local and international brews will be featured along with mouthwatering bites from local North Park restaurants! NBCSanDiego is giving away four pairs of tickets to this special section of the festival.

Each pair of tickets is valued at $60 and gets you the amazing deal of eight beer or wine samples and five tastes of house specialties from restaurants including Urban Solace, The Linkery, Sea Rocket Bistro, and many more. Enter the contest here.
