We're looking ahead to Labor Day weekend, but if you need to get your fix of live music, you'll want to do it in advance of the weekend before it's almost exclusively dance parties. To kick things off, Bryan Ferry will be all the talk as the class of 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Famer takes over Symphony Hall to play the classic Roxy Music album, "Avalon," in its entirety. Meanwhile, down in South Bay, Heart and Joan Jett prove that powerful women can still rock it out at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre. The White Buffalo plays his second night at the Belly Up, Howlin Rain hope to bring a little Bay Area rock & roll soul at the Casbah, or you can always go on a quest for new music with our pal, Tim Pyles, as he hosts a great night of music at the Merrow. There's lots of live music to fill your tank to get you through the rest of this week.
