It's a beautiful weekend in San Diego, so hop on a bike, transit or rideshare, and hang out for the 49th annual Chicano Park Day Celebration. Over the years, the celebration has certainly grown and expanded to not only celebrate the heritage of the park itself, but of the contributions of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans to our region. There are tons of vendors, food and free entertainment for the entire family. After you've spent your day in the sun, get ready for some great shows. Not surprisingly, Big Thief is sold out at the Irenic. The Saddle Creek band from Brooklyn made a huge mark on indie rock with "Mythological Beauty," and it's pretty exciting that they'll be kicking off their tour here in San Diego. Around town, legend Michael McDonald plays a sold out show at the Belly Up, Night Beats get down at Casbah and Imagery Machine host their 420 smokeout at Soda Bar.
