9/24: Friday Could Be Classy

FIFTIES FLICK: Join Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck as they make their way around Rome in the 1953 romantic comedy “ Roman Holiday”. Here’s a fun fact: The film was shot in black and white so that the main characters wouldn’t be upstaged by Rome’s architecture and the movie was the first ever U.S. film to be shot entirely in Itlay. Tonight’s showing is at 8 p.m. and will take place in Mission Hills for Cinema Under The Stars. For tickets and more info click here.

Besides being a nice way to close your day, another benefit is that proceeds from tonight’s tasting will go to help The Friends of County Animal Shelters who care for sick or injured cats and dogs. So get your tickets and start doing some good while having some fun. The event is from 6 to 9 p.m. with one ticket going for $20 and $35 for two. Call 619-296-9600 to the detials.

TAKE A TRIP: End your night in scenic La Jolla and try a restaurant featured in San Diego’s Resturant Week. As this week long event draws to a close you’ll get your last chance to get fine dinning at nearly half the price. Tonight in La Jolla $20 lands you great Itlatian cuisine at Leucadia Pizzeria & Italian Resturant and only $30 buys you some of the best steak around at La Jolla Strip Club - A Steak Place.
