This non-competitive, community bike ride for riders of all abilities will take riders on a scenic and primarily flat ride around the San Diego Bay via the Bayshore Bikeway. 7 a.m.
To celebrate the grand opening month of San Diego's newest and hottest venue, the Mad House Comedy Club, you're invited to a special show. 8 p.m.
UCSD's Che Cafe. will be the place to be the evening of Aug. 30, at least for fans of Smashing Pumpkins (and we assume there are still some out there, right?). Head Pumpkin Billy Corgan, the band's leader and only remaining original member, will perform that night at UCSD's muy intimate Che. 7 p.m.
